Location of The Copt Hill site and the Seven Sisters

The Copt Hill, known locally as the "Seven Sisters", is easy to get to as it is on the B1404 Houghton-le-Spring to Seaham road. There is no car parking on the site. There are bus stops on each side of the road and Bus number 203 operates every day except Sunday.

The Copt Hill is opposite the Copt Hill public house, postcode DH5 8LU, and is accessed via a large white gate with pedestrian access at the side.

The site has a paved path leading from the gate, which is suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs. From the picnic tables and benches you can enjoy wonderful views of the "Seven Sisters", the whole 15 hectare site and the surrounding countryside. The site can be sticky and slippery in wet weather, especially on hilly parts, so you are advised to wear appropriate footwear.

When you want to put your feet up to enjoy the views, there are benches throughout the site, seven in all to reflect the number of trees making up the "Seven Sisters".

Please put any rubbish in the bins provided. There is a dog waste bin adjacent to the gate.
